Four things to watch
MEMPHIS A handful of things to keep an eye on tonight, as topseeded North Carolina and No. 4 seed Gonzaga battle it out for a trip to the NCAA's Elite Eight:
1. Hansbrough vs. Heytvelt, Round 2
UNC forward Tyler Hansbrough said the 2006 game when the Gonzaga center outplayed him, held him to nine points and led the Zags to victory has no bearing on today. But do you really believe him? Hansbrough, the 2008 National Player of the Year, has been held to single digits only eight times in his career, and he has a long memory. Josh Heytvelt said after that victory 2 1/2 years ago that Hansbrough wasn't very aggressive something UNC's top player isn't likely to forget.
Whether Lawson plays at 80 percent, 60 percent or even 30 percent, the Tar Heels need their point guard's jammed right big toe to hold up against Gonzaga's Jeremy Pargo, one of the fastest ballhandlers around. Like Lawson, Pargo makes his team go. In tournament wins against Akron and Western Kentucky last week, he had a total of eight assists and only one turnover. Carolina needs another game from Lawson like last Saturday's against LSU,cheap ugg boots, when adreneline kicked in and he toughed out 23 key points.
